Microsoft was planning to talk more about hardware this month. That would have included Lockhart. I don't know exactly what that event/blog would have looked like, but my understanding is it was likely more than just a blog post. It moved to let this Thursday PS event go first.

Microsoft has already shown a lot of Xbox Series X, it makes sense to let Sony take a turn. If a fanboy tries to use this to say, "Microsoft's scared!" I would encourage you to ignore that and not be a fanboy in return. It's just business.

There will be news we are planning to revel/release, but not an Inside Xbox show next month.

We have too much to show/reveal this year, it cannot fit into one show. So get ready for new stuff from us every month leading up to holiday. Starts with #InsideXbox on Thursday at 8am PT. 🙌🏻🙅🏼♂️🔥https://t.co/uB1GCvbHFU

It wasn't announced, so I think this is completely fair of them to say.
